Much of the news today is depressing and can be discouraging. I know I get depressed some days when I learn of some new “crazy” policy or act hitting the news. Praying to God daily is the key activity that keeps me hopeful. I encourage everyone to pray daily, for it will provide more protection to you than any vaccine.
The latest radical acts are happening – no surprise – in our public schools. Eatonville HS’s plan to make students wear ankle bracelets to enforce “social distancing” was not even the wildest act last week. The craziest and most immoral action goes to an Evergreen Public School middle school teacher, who is thankfully being investigated by school leadership, after her deranged and dangerous comments were discovered online.
The teacher complained that the unvaccinated should be denied healthcare and stressed, “I am ready to let them die.” After a friend replied saying she could not wish ill on others while disagreeing with their choice to remain unvaccinated, the teacher in question commented, “If we’re lucky, we can cut out 30% of the population who votes the wrong way.”
Another friend chimed in that if that were the case, there would be “less people using up all the resources.” The teacher responded: “Let the hunger games begin.” Is anyone surprised that FPIW strongly believes that all Christians and moral people of any faith must abandon the corrupt and dangerous public school system and send their children to private schools or homeschool?
For those of you unfamiliar with the popular The Hunger Games movie series, it depicts a country in which all citizens are subject to a police state and have no choice in their job. Society is divided into the elites, who possess all of the power and wealth and are concentrated around an area much like Washington, D.C., and the peasantry. Each year, a “Hunger Games” occurs, in which peasant children are randomly chosen to fight to the death in an arena which the elites watch for sport.
This single comment from the teacher reveals, not just how unafraid they are of publicly proclaiming their goals, but the depth of the neopagan left’s madness and their radical redefinition of our morals on life and death. The comment is blatantly elitist, classist, and evil, let alone anti-Christian. But, honestly, we already knew that a corrupt culture of death is being pushed throughout our public schools and our society.
The explicit parallel this teacher creates is that the unvaccinated should be left to fight for resources, even to their death. And this radical perspective is consistent with the rest of the left’s views on issues like abortion, euthanasia, drug treatment, raising children, mental health, homelessness, and dealing with the poor. For example, Nancy Pelosi claimed she was “blessed” to have had five children, but that poor women need abortions to prosper.
The left, and their allies who control most of the country today, think that the lives of those that follow their ideology have dignity and are worth preserving.
This is evil, but they now have put their views out in the open for all of us to see.
Yes, it’s appalling. But now we have no excuse to not confront these evils head on with the truth of the Gospel. That is why the Family Policy Institute of Washington believes that Christians, especially Christian pastors, must clearly identify as Christ followers, and then proclaim the teachings – the Good News that Jesus proclaimed – for all to hear.
That is the only way we are going to change the hearts and minds of those who are lost and effectively cast out evil wherever it arises!
We are not going to win simply by convincing wavering Republicans or registering voters.
Politics alone is not the answer. We must lead with Christ and the Gospel—boldly!
“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:12)
Cast out darkness and put on the armor of God. We must race towards the battle line like David (1st Samuel 17:48).
