A new Gallup poll found that the majority of Americans, including Democrats, believe athletes should only be allowed to compete in sports that align with their biological sex. Why, then, are politicians continuing to push an agenda that their constituents – and common sense – disagree with?
“A larger majority of Americans now (69%) than in 2021 (62%) say transgender athletes should only be allowed to compete on sports teams that conform with their birth gender,” the poll found. “Likewise, fewer endorse transgender athletes being able to play on teams that match their current gender identity, 26%, down from 34%.”
Americans are waking up to the reality that the transgender movement is targeting women, children, and the very fabric of our society. It was one thing when these confused individuals kept to themselves, living in their own fantasy world, merely seeking acceptance. But now the movement has spread – it is threatening women by allowing dangerous men to invade female spaces. It is targeting children with drag shows and manipulating them in schools, convincing them it is normal to believe you can surgically modify your God-given gender. Enough is enough.
The percentage of people who believe “changing one’s gender” is morally wrong rose from 51% in 2021 to 55% in 2023. Even within the Democrat party, the percentage of people who believe men shouldn’t be allowed to compete in women’s sports rose from 41% in 2021 to 48% today. This issue has become so polarized and extreme that even the party that sponsors the LGBT movement is divided nearly down the middle.
The Left has gone too far. Their agenda has become too radical, too extreme, and too evil for the average American to stand behind. They are alienating their base and losing lifelong Democrat voters because their social viewpoints are destroying society – and any citizen of this nation with common sense can see it. Whether you call yourself a Republican, a Democrat, or an Independent, anyone with basic moral values should be able to agree that it is wrong to expose children to sexual transgender content such as drag shows, it is wrong for biological men to compete against women, and it is wrong for biological men to invade private spaces intended for women to protect them from men. Conservative opposition to the LGBT movement is not based in hatred or a lack of compassion, it is based on the knowledge of what this evil movement will do to our children, our families, and our society if left unchecked.
