Each year at Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the incredible blessings God has bestowed upon us and the victories we have seen in our state during the previous year.
To mention a few, our team at FPIW promoted transparency in school boards, defended police officers, and defeated both HB 1837 and HB 1286, which aimed to increase access to abortion services in Washington. These were not easy wins, but our state is better off thanks to the tireless work of our legislative team at FPIW.
Other notable accomplishments in 2023 include hosting four pastors’ briefings and mobilizing over 120 pastors across the state to speak from the pulpit and defend Biblical values in the public square. This is essential in the fight to win back our state from the oppressive hold of woke politics.
Additionally, FPIW’s 14 Crisis in Education events trained and equipped hundreds of Washingtonians on how to be effective advocates in our children’s schools. Forty new school board candidates have stood for election after attending these events. We are thankful for their courage and willingness to stand up for the truth.
We would be remiss if we did not express our gratitude for the warm and enthusiastic reception we are receiving for our new DEFENDERS campaign – hundreds have already signed up, and we expect this team to continue to grow during the coming year. Through practical cultural engagement, this team stands on the frontline to defend life, marriage, parental rights, and religious liberty.
Most of all, we are thankful for the opportunity to honor God in our work and defend His truth in the public square. It is clear to us that God is at work in Washington, and we can’t wait to see what He has in store for 2024.
We pray your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Take time to reflect on God’s goodness in your life this weekend and always.
