Bring Your Ballot To Church Sunday

Biblical Foundation

VOTING IS SELECTING AND PLACING

21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 22 And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you. Exodus 18:21–22 (NKJV)

2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1–4 (NKJV)

Declaration

Voting = Select + Place

Whereas, it is vital that Christians vote.

Whereas, it is an act of loving our neighbor to vote from a biblical worldview.

Whereas, we are commanded to steward wisely what God has entrusted to us, including our government, our freedoms, and our vote.

Whereas, scripture clearly says to appoint (select & place) leaders among you who are able and truthful, who do not take bribes, and who fear the Lord.

Whereas, it will encourage others if we do this act together and do it publicly.

Let it be declared by the faithful institution of the Family Policy Institute of Washington that October 27th, 2024, is the official NATIONAL BRING YOUR BALLOT TO CHURCH SUNDAY.

Let Christ-followers be resolved to pray over the ballots.

Let Christ-followers be resolved to turn in the ballots.

Let Christ-followers be a Godly example and inspire others to their civic and sacred duties.

Let this public display remind others to participate in the election process.

Let God be glorified through our actions.
