Simply Care: A Simple Path to Bring Your World to Christ
Simply Care is a concise, Scripture-rich training booklet that helps ordinary believers share the Gospel naturally in the relationships they already have—in their neighborhoods, workplaces, and the wider public square.
What Simply Care is
- A Church–Defender resource from FPIW that connects loving your neighbor, sharing your faith, and defending biblical values in today’s culture.
- Designed to be taught with slides using a discovery–discussion–teaching format, making it ideal for adult classes, small groups, and outreach teams.
Biblical foundations for everyday evangelism
Simply Care grounds personal evangelism in the character and work of God:
- Shows why people in the public square without Christ are lost, blind, bound, condemned, under wrath, helpless, and hopeless, using passages like Matthew 18, 2 Corinthians 4, Ephesians 2, and John 3.
- Centers on John 3:16–17 to emphasize that evangelism starts with God’s love, not condemnation.
- Unpacks Matthew 5:14–16 and 2 Corinthians 5:14–16 to remind believers they are the light of the world, controlled by Christ’s love, and sent to shine publicly.
- Clarifies the Gospel from 1 Corinthians 15:1–8—Christ died, was buried, was raised, and appeared—and connects each truth to daily repentance, humility, new life, and Spirit-empowered living.
Relationship-first approach
Rather than relying on events or programs, Simply Care focuses on relational evangelism:
- Encourages believers to “look for relationships” with neighbors, family members, friends, coworkers, business associates, and even everyday contacts like store clerks and servers.
- Highlights that more than 80% of Christians trace their conversion to a friend, relative, associate, or neighbor, underscoring the power of everyday connections.
- Calls strengthening and repairing relationships “a first order of business” for every Christian, using Mark 5:19 as a model for going home and telling what the Lord has done.
Practical questions and activation
The booklet moves believers from theory to practice with simple, probing prompts:
- “How could you model genuine servanthood and care on an individual level?”
- “How could the church model genuine servanthood and care on a corporate level?”
These questions help individuals and churches design concrete steps that match their context—acts of service, intentional conversations, and long-term presence in the public square.
Ideal audiences and uses
- Churches that want to mobilize members to share Christ without complicated programs or scripts.
- Small groups and Sunday school classes looking for a short, high-impact series on evangelism and neighbor love.
- FPIW Defenders who need a simple tool to help others see that cultural change starts with following Jesus and sharing the Gospel where they live, work, and serve.
By combining clear theology, relational focus, and practical reflection, Simply Care equips believers to love God most, love others best, and bring their world to Christ—one relationship at a time—while supporting FPIW’s mission to defend and advance biblical values in the public square.
