“WIN.”
— Cascade Republican Women

“WIN” stands for “Women In Numbers,” and that’s exactly what our friends at Cascade Republican Women want as they help Republicans win in elections. Established in 1996, Cascade Republican Women is the local King County branch of the larger National Federation of Republican Women. It’s grassroots — and to our great delight, it’s only for women. They are dedicated to empowering conservative ladies, strengthening communities, and advancing Republican principles. It is our pleasure to partner with these wonderful women who seek to turn hearts toward a more pro-American, God-centered, conservative vision for Washington State.

The Heart of CRW

At the heart of Cascade Republican Women is a mission to educate, advocate, and expand the involvement of Republican women in Washington. The organization works to recruit citizens, train and support grassroots activists, and help elect Republican candidates who will represent conservative principles in government. Its mission reflects the belief that representative government works best when citizens understand the issues and actively participate in the democratic process. Cascade Republican Women gives its members opportunities to learn about legislation, elections, and the challenges confronting Washington communities. In doing so, the organization helps women become better equipped to communicate their convictions and participate in civic life.

Cascade Republican Women encourages its members to move beyond simply observing government and instead become active participants in shaping it. The organization recognizes that strong communities depend upon citizens who are willing to stand for their principles, serve their neighbors, and take responsibility for the future of their state and nation. By bringing women together around these goals, Cascade Republican Women helps cultivate informed and confident leaders who can make a lasting difference.

Amazing Women Today & the Founding Mothers of the USA

Republican women’s organizations have historically provided an important avenue for women to become involved in campaigns, public policy, party leadership, and elected government (see the “Founding Mothers of the USA” graphic to the left), and Cascade Republican Women continues that grassroots tradition. Meetings and programs can connect members with elected officials, candidates, policy experts, and fellow activists, giving women opportunities to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of government. These experiences can transform political interest into meaningful action while preparing women to assume greater leadership responsibilities in their communities.

With a strategic eye upon the next generation of voters, they also have a special interest in education: “One of our present concerns is education in public schools. Of special interest is a school organization which studies the Constitution and debates issues called ‘We The People’. It seems as though we need more of that sort of care for our nation by younger upcoming leaders in this country.” Yes, that is very true, and they understand that today’s classroom shapes tomorrow’s voters.

Cascade Republican Women also demonstrates that conservative civic engagement extends beyond elections and political campaigns. Community service has been an important component of the organization’s activities, providing members with opportunities to put their principles into practice by helping others. Rather than viewing political participation and community service as separate responsibilities, Cascade Republican Women demonstrates how both can contribute to stronger families, neighborhoods, businesses, and communities.

Lifting Each Other Up in Common Goals

Ultimately, Cascade Republican Women represents the power of informed citizens working together for a common purpose. They help remind its members that preserving constitutional government, individual liberty, economic opportunity, personal responsibility, public safety, strong families, and accountable government requires continued citizen involvement. Cascade Republican Women is helping develop the next generation of conservative leadership in Washington State. Its work illustrates an enduring principle of American self-government: meaningful change begins with citizens who are willing to become informed, get involved, serve others, and stand courageously for the values they believe are worth preserving.

They share:

Here in this club of Cascade Republican Women, we lift each other up in common goals set forth by the National Federation of Republican Women and the Republican Party. Our goals as a club are to: educate, advocate, and build the base of Republican Women in our area and statewide by educating, recruiting, training, supporting, and electing candidates. We support Republican principles by reaching out and empower women of all ages, ethnicity, and backgrounds in the political process, and by working in partnership with other Republican organizations. Finally, we serve our community through service projects. We welcome differing opinions; however, we give each other grace and respect.

Amidst the like-minded fellowship, many rich and deep friendships blossom because the organization provides women with an opportunity to connect with others who share a commitment to conservative values: They share a common vision, a common love of The Good Society — and to that, FPIW proudly and wholeheartedly supports.
