“We help your public school student grow in character with Bible education during school hours.”
— LifeWise Academy
Parents want their children to grow in character, make wise choices, and develop a lifelong relationship with God. Yet for many families, finding time for consistent Bible education can be difficult amid the demands of school, activities, and busy schedules. LifeWise Academy exists to partner with parents by making Bible education part of a child’s public school week.
A recent poll found that over 87% of parents and almost 90% of educators said a Bible education program like LifeWise would benefit their students.
LifeWise operates legal Released Time Religious Instruction programs where students attend an off-campus Bible class during a non-core portion of the school day with parent permission before returning to school. Rather than competing with the home or the church, LifeWise reinforces the biblical truths families are already teaching. Today, over 60,000 students participate each week in more than 1,000 public schools across the country, helping children engage with God’s Word as a regular part of their weekly routine.
A Proven Model
LifeWise has pioneered a proven model for bringing Bible education into the public school day. Rather than asking each community to start from scratch, LifeWise provides the curriculum, legal framework, operational systems, technology, training, and ongoing coaching needed to establish a successful program. Local churches, parents, and community volunteers provide the leadership that makes the program possible in their own schools. Every LifeWise program is provided at no cost to participating families and is supported by the local community.

How You Can Get Involved: Help Bring LifeWise to Your Community
Washington communities already have the legal opportunity to offer released-time Bible education. What they often need is a small group of local leaders willing to make it happen. Will your school be next? That’s where a LifeWise Launch Team comes in. Launch Teams are groups of volunteers who work alongside a LifeWise coach to build community support, engage local churches and school leaders, and prepare for a successful program launch. The process is proven, the coaching is provided, and most teams complete their work in just a few months before handing leadership to the local program. You don’t need experience in education or nonprofit leadership — just a heart for seeing children in your community encounter God’s Word.
