Washington Statewide Grassroots

Amplify Your Voice. Influence Your Community.

The Family Policy Institute of Washington (FPIW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to defending and advancing biblical values in the public square. Through advocacy, education, and training, FPIW equips individuals, churches, and communities to share their stories and make a lasting impact on society.

Why SHARE THE IMPACT?

  • Real Stories Change Culture:
Your personal experiences with policy, regulations, crime, and taxes are powerful. Sharing them can influence leaders, encourage neighbors, and bring hope to those around you.
  • Create Ripple Effects:
    When you share your story:
    • Pastors are inspired to speak out on cultural issues.
    • Neighbors find the courage to vote with conviction.
    • Elected officials are moved to write better policy.
    • Young adults become bold in sharing their worldview.

ARE YOU READY?

Are you ready to defend and advance biblical values in the public square? The 2026 Legislative Session will begin on Monday, January 12, 2026, and will consist of 60 days of intense negotiations, concluding on Sunday, March 12, 2026.

THE GOAL

We want the church and FPIW Defenders to be on Olympia’s ‘front line’. During the session, Monday through Friday, FPIW will recruit at least one church or group of defenders to be present in Olympia praying over that legislative day. We also want churches in every county to pick a day to pray.

THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE

We are asking FPIW Defender Churches to pick a day to pray during the next legislative session: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”  There is no more effective weapon against these evil forces than a church engaged in corporate prayer.

Why have a signing location?

A signing location is more than just a place for people to add their names to petitions—it can serve as a meaningful outreach to the community. When people from the neighborhood come in to sign an initiative, especially one that impacts families, it creates a natural opportunity to welcome them, offer hospitality (like a cup of coffee), and build relationships. This friendly environment can open doors to share about Jesus and invite visitors to church on Sunday, making the signing location a hub for both civic engagement and spiritual connection.

By hosting signing locations at churches or community centers, you not only help advance important family-focused initiatives but also extend an invitation for people to experience Christian community and hear the gospel. This approach embodies loving your neighbor and stewarding the public square, as it combines practical action for the good of families with genuine care for people’s spiritual well-being.

Empower Your Community Through Voter Engagement

Your Voice Matters. Your Vote Counts.

At the Family Policy Institute of Washington, we believe that every citizen has the power to shape the future of our communities, state, and nation. By registering to vote and participating in elections, you help ensure that your values and priorities are reflected in the decisions that affect your family, your neighborhood, and your state.
