“It’s no big deal, we’ve overcome this before.”
I’ve heard it or a variation of it at least a half a dozen times from well-meaning conservatives as I’ve been out at various meetings and small gatherings, in response to the ongoing madness of social distancing requirements, mass protests that disregard them, mobs taking over sections of cities, burning down businesses, and the like.
This is a big, big deal.
What we’re seeing today is an all-out, planned assault on the Judeo-Christian worldview. And the longer we think that it’s no big deal, the further behind we are in pushing back on it. The time for silence has passed – our country’s survival and the survival of Christendom is at stake here in America.
Here in Washington State, we’ve witnessed the earliest indicators of the intentional plan to undermine Christians, as Governor Inslee and his administration continue to unconstitutionally restrict church meetings in a way that is inconsistent with every other reopening plan for secular activities. And of course, the Governor, after encouraging and blessing two weeks of mass protests, is now warning of another wave of COVID-19, seemingly setting the stage for further lockdowns.
There is absolutely no credible explanation to the Governor’s singling-out of churches – except that he doesn’t like the influence they have in our state. And, at least for the moment, he has enough emergency power to push them around.
Then, you have the over-the-top, pagan-powered radical protests around the nation and specifically in the Seattle region. As I wrote last week, this isn’t a grassroots protest aimed at fighting for justice and equality. This is another attempt to divide and conquer the black community, pinning them against others and forcing them to adopt an extremely troubling and wholly unrelated creed to the one they have been led to believe they’re fighting for.
Black Lives Matter, the organization, has absolutely nothing to do with racial equality. Here’s an excerpt from the BLM website, explaining its mission (emphasis is mine):
We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter, regardless of actual or perceived sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, economic status, ability, disability, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, immigration status, or location.
We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.
We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.
We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.
We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.
We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).
What we are observing is not a movement for racial justice. This is a radical anti-Christian movement aimed at using perceived racial injustice to remove religion from American society, displace the American family unit, and install an LGBT-focused worldview in which sexuality and gender are the ONLY identifying factors that matter in society.
Black leaders must cast aside the smoke and mirrors and call out the false prophets driving these protests – the same agitators who live to kill millions of black lives at Planned Parenthood clinics, and who allow black neighborhoods to remain killing grounds. Those agitators are opportunists; they have no interest in saving black lives.
This is beyond radical. It is, as I said, a movement to cut down the traditional, Judeo-Christian American worldview. Our Founders built protections against threats foreign and domestic; at the moment, the biggest threats are coming from within.
And I haven’t even gotten to the newest assault on human identity and on Christians, which was delivered on Monday by, of all entities, the “conservative” U.S. Supreme Court in the Bostock decision.
The Democrats would never tolerate one of their hand-chosen judges to break ranks on any issue – let alone one this important. We cannot give the Federalist Society a pass on the recommendation of Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court. Like Lucy and the football with Charlie Brown, we trusted them, and the Republican establishment, to deliver a judge that understands the law, and they did not.
And with two more weeks of landmark decisions regarding religious liberty and life ahead of us, the carnage may not be over.
U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri condemned the Supreme Court following the decision, saying it spelled the “end of the conservative legal movement…if this case makes anything clear, it’s that the bargain that’s been offered to religious conservatives for years now is a bad one. It’s time to reject it.”
100 million social conservatives and Christians were made to be fools when Judge Gorsuch bowed down to the radical LGBT and pagan communities. His decision made new law and changed the definition of “sex” by a near-unilateral rewriting of our constitution.
This is important. Christians and social conservatives of all faiths are now officially labeled by federal law, and soon they will use that to try and destroy us. If we don’t stand up, the persecution and destruction will get worse for anyone who doesn’t bow down to the Pagans and their radical agenda.
The books of Luke and Acts both discuss the persecution that will come to Christ’s followers, so to an extent, it isn’t a surprise that American culture has begun to harm the faithful in an effort to cast them out of the circles of influence they’ve occupied since the founding of our nation.
Make no mistake: hardship is coming this year. Expect an explosion of lawsuits and laws punishing and suppressing Christian speech, thought, and assembly. Our only hope as a country is to repent, turn back to Jesus Christ, and trust that he will provide us the words to act accordingly during the coming storm.
