Biden administration says ‘transgender’ women are men and must register for the draft

While President Joe Biden and his team pursue a radical LGBT agenda, including removing healthy body parts from kids and pumping them full of drugs to stop puberty, his Department of Defense cannot ignore biological reality.

The Selective Service, also known as the “draft,” says that so-called “transgender” women, meaning men who are gender dysphoric, must still register for the military draft, as all young men must.

“US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register,” the guidance states. “Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register.”

Regardless of what someone thinks of the draft, it is clear that when it comes to national security and ensuring adequate military forces the Biden administration cannot ignore biological reality. Since men are generally stronger and larger than women, even “transgender” women, who are men, still must register for the draft.

It would be easy enough to laugh this off or simply write this off as an example of liberal hypocrisy, but the truth is that the LGBT agenda is destructive to both children and adults.

Transgenderism is far more than someone just going through a phase where they dress or act like the opposite sex – if a gender-confused boy wore make up or grew out his hair for a year or two as a kid that would be one thing. Or, if a gender-confused girl cut her hair or dressed like a boy, it could be written off as a phase or just part of one of the thousands of weird things teens do as they grapple with puberty and the rush of hormones.

But in reality, so-called “gender-affirming treatment” has lifelong consequences. Teenage girls are having their breasts cut off, only to regret it later, when they are no longer gender dysphoric and want to have kids and nurse their children. Teenage boys are being permanently sterilized, too.

Furthermore, the puberty blockers and other transgender drugs do not help people who have gender dysphoria. Just like when people use illicit drugs to cope with depression or anxiety, these drugs do not help the underlying problem, instead leaving their users worse off than before.

“The crux of the matter is that while the transition-affirming movement purports to help children, it is inflicting a grave injustice on them and their non-dysphoric peers,” Dr. Michelle Crettella has previously explained.

“Today’s institutions that promote transition affirmation are pushing children to impersonate the opposite sex,” she said at a Heritage Foundation event in 2017. Such treatments are “sending many of them down the path of puberty blockers, sterilization, the removal of healthy body parts, and untold psychological damage.”

These drugs and surgeries are harmful, and the consequences will reverberate for generations.
