On Saturday, President Trump announced what many had come to expect: Amy Coney Barrett has been nominated to serve as the 115th Justice of the United States Supreme Court. And immediately, Democrats in and outside of government lost what little collective cool and sanity they had left.
While Barrett is a strong judicial choice by any normal measure, she is also a living, visual representation of what we advocate for in the Christian realm of public policy. She’s a successful lawyer, judge, wife, mother to seven children, a publicly faithful, pro-life Catholic. She is a constitutional originalist who makes judgments based on the written text of laws and constitutions, rather than her own personal opinions or a party’s political positions. In other words, Judge Barrett, faithfully supports the U.S. Constitution.
In regard to Judge Amy Coney Barrett, we would be hard pressed to find a nominee that more closely aligns with what we hope to see on the U.S. Supreme Court. For the first time in almost 50 years, we may finally get our constitution back, and our nation may again be ruled with integrity, morality, and the rule of law.
And there’s another reason the left hates Amy Coney Barrett so much: she’s not part of the judicial swamp that usurps authority that it doesn’t have.
Speaking from my own legislative experience, I am concerned about the new reality of bureaucrats and judges routinely and literally rewriting the texts of bills – even some that I personally wrote or sponsored when I was in the legislature. Besides making the legislative branch powerless, this action makes almost ANY law or Constitution essentially meaningless and irrelevant. This power grabbing corrupts our judicial system – which has become unbound by any sort of morality, rule of law, or Constitution.
Unfortunately, there is a real movement, led by the far-Left Democratic Party and others, to destroy our nation, continue the persecution of Christians and the destruction of babies, and end our capitalist economic system. They have made it very clear that they want to see Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination stopped, and their actions in accomplishing that outcome betray their belief that all Christians should be relegated to the back of the bus or kicked off entirely.
Despite some Democratic Senators announcing their plan to boycott the Barrett hearings or courtesy meetings, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell appears to have the votes to confirm the president’s nominee, beginning with hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee on October 12th. Many believe the final confirmation vote could happen as early as October 26th.
I expect that once Barrett is confirmed to her seat at the Court, we will see riots, destruction, and violence. On its face, the “protests” will be in opposition to the process or to Trump personally, but at its core, it’s all about keeping abortion genocide legal, and the persecution of Christians in America. The end of abortion and the real potential overturning of Roe v. Wade will soon be within view, and we must thank President Trump and the Republican Party for making this happen.
Watch how the press, social media, and your elected officials speak about and react to an obviously well-qualified Christian mother of seven. Already, the knives have come out and the vitriolic attacks by the Democratic Party and its supporters against both her faith and family are growing daily in intensity and vulgarity.
Because of this, all Catholic and Protestant Democrat leaders like Joe Biden have a real choice to make: either stand with your Church and Jesus Christ or stand with Satan and support the continued destruction of millions of babies and the persecution of Christians.
Frankly, all Christian bishops, pastors, and leaders also have a real choice to make. Either stand up and speak out, and become shepherds to your flock by rebuking these evil and corrupt “Christian” leaders, or remain silent and the allow the destruction of babies and Christianity in America. Today, if you remain silent, evil triumphs!
And to all others, watch and try to understand and predict your own future, and your children’s future in America, if these types of attacks and hatred toward Christian believers and social conservatives becomes more systemic with governments and businesses. I call on you to be involved and speak out about the truth of Jesus Christ to those who are lost.
We urge and pray that the U.S. Senate act swiftly to confirm Judge Barrett and restore the Court to its full nine-person membership. We urge and pray that all Americans, especially Joe Biden and all our Democratic elected leaders, reject Satan and all his works and empty promises by publicly rejecting the diabolical practice of abortion and the persecution of Christians by supporting Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
Our nation must respect our written constitution, and the authority of our Heavenly Father if we are to survive.
