O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here,
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

Rejoice! Rejoice.

The Son of God comes to us humbly in a manger because of the Almighty One’s great mercy. And it is because of His great mercy that FPIW is able to keep making strides in Washington – the home we love.

FPIW’s vision for Washington is “a state where authentic biblical values flourish and people are free to live out their faith in the workplace and community.”

This Christmas, we reflect on Christ’s humility, that He should present Himself as one of the most vulnerable beings among us – a baby. We are reminded that God was fully present in the womb of Mary, when her cousin Elizabeth felt the leaps of joy of her son, John the Baptist, in the womb:

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” (Luke 1: 41-45)

Our team at FPIW is incredibly grateful for your prayers and support as we endeavor to make Washington a state that values the preborn child, made in God’s Image, and a place where biblical values are able to flourish freely.

Thank you for standing by FPIW’s work.

May God bless you and your families abundantly this Christmas!
