In recent years, anti-Christian Democrats and pagan leftists have taken issue with a number of harmless things (math and advanced academic classes, for example), deeming them racist and demanding their removal. We’ve seen progressive outrage over historic statues, holidays, and a seemingly endless number of topics. Their most recent targets are farmer’s markets and food charity.
Washington State University is reinforcing claims that farmer’s markets and food charities are examples of “white dominant culture” and “white supremacy.” WSU’s Agriculture Program Coordinator promoted an event called “Examining Whiteness in Food Systems,” which taught attendees that “white supremacy culture” creates food insecurity by “center[ing] whiteness across the food system.” During another summit sponsored by WSU, speaker Jennifer Zuckerman claimed offering food free of charge is racist because it presumes “that low income and or BIPOC communities and individuals cannot provide or make decisions for themselves.” This deranged line of thinking is what happens when people adopt the Critical Race Theory lens, and it has gotten out of hand.
These pro-CRT activists are not just having discussions about history and race in America, although that’s what they want you to believe. There are certainly stains on America’s history with slavery and segregation that need to be discussed and remembered, but, sadly, few people today have an accurate understanding of the history of racism in America. That’s a failure of our public education system.
Most people don’t realize that it was Christians and Republicans, led by President Lincoln, who fought and died by the hundreds of thousands to end slavery in the Civil War. Later, a bipartisan Democrat and Republican partnership and a diverse black and white coalition of Christians and other conservative and liberal activists led by the Rev. Martin Luther King fought for true equality and passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which brought true legal equality in America.
The only congressional opposition came from the Democratic Party in both struggles. These facts are what we should be teaching during lessons on America’s history. Modern radical Marxist pagans, however, are unconcerned with history and facts, and are more focused on counterproductively decrying some new thing that is racist every week in order to divide and destroy our nation.
It’s clear that their efforts are not centered in rooting out racism, but in promoting racism and all types of evil. They are harming blacks, not helping them. Ultimately, their efforts are not about race at all. We must look beyond the rhetoric and recognize that this is a real evil, baseless effort, a cold war in actuality, to divide Americans and Christians, in order to destroy both.
Many conservative pundits and organizations and sadly most Republican elected leaders and Christian pastors don’t cover or even mention these battles and events because they have been corrupted or are more worried about whether these same evildoers (social media companies, the press, Hollywood, Democrats) perceive them as a nice person. This cowardice and servitude to the corrupt worldly wisdom is why evil is flourishing today.
Ultimately, in order to fight back successfully, we must recognize that is a spiritual battle and that the true source of these evils is not people. This fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual rulers of our present darkness. “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
Ultimately, only Christian men and women, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and leading with the teachings of Jesus will win this war for souls and our nation. A secular or conservative or non-Christian approach that avoids Truth is destined to fail. It is our Christian duty to root out this evil, and we can only do so by taking up the armor of God through repentance and prayer and continuing to unleash, unapologetically, His Truth to a fallen world.
Only then will we be free!
