Leftist cultural indoctrination is everywhere. Our children are being targeted with their favorite TV shows on YouTube, PBS, and Disney; it’s in the books they read in the library and at school; it’s all over social media and even programmed into new AI technology that teenagers are fascinated with. At every turn, the Left is finding new ways to infiltrate the impressionable minds of our children.
“Agendas are often promoted through media and education until they become so ingrained that they define the new normal. We must resist agendas which rewrite the rules of truth and morality and teach our kids to do the same,” Christian apologist Hillary Morgan Ferrar writes.
It is not enough to try to shelter children from the school system or the world around us. Rather, it is essential that we instill critical thinking values into our children so that they can use Biblical principles to reason for themselves against the lies of the Left. As parents, we will not always be there to confront the propaganda and evil they are faced with. But we can equip them with a Godly worldview strong enough to withstand the weapons of the enemy.
“Children, especially teens, are seeking acceptance,” a former Leftist activist explained. “They want approval and affirmation, and sometimes that means they’re going to go along with things that they don’t […] understand at all. Group-think is a cult-like mentality. Individual free-thought is suppressed, and the individual is taught that conforming with the group is more important than anything else.”
The Left is well-versed in how to brainwash children and tear families apart with their pro-LGBT, pro-abortion, anti-Christian agenda. We must combat those lies with the truth of Jesus Christ, and start building a foundation of Biblical values at a young age.
As Christians, we can be the center of the counter-cultural revolution. We have the opportunity to say no to mass media and secular cultural norms. Scripture constantly reminds us that we are to be in this world but not of it – Romans 12:2 tells us “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
We encourage you to hold fast to Biblical principles in your home and fight against the culture surrounding us. The lies of the enemy cannot prevail against the truth of God.
